Melvin is in charge of the Toy Shop. He makes sure everything runs smoothly and all the tools and machines are in tip-top shape.
Melvin has a favorite hat that's quite worn. It's green, faded a bit, with red trim, also quite faded. Santa asked Melvin why he wore such a tattered covering and he said, "it fits well and brings good luck!"
He also has a brown leather apron he is very attached to. It was a gift from the Toy Shop crew a few years ago.
Melvin never gets full or grumpy if things don't go just right. However, as Mrs. Claus observes, he does get a tad "intense".
